Tek Perks was founded by James Perkins in 1999 at the end of his freshman year of high school. James was the resident technology whiz-kid and would often perform volunteer computer repairs and services for the school, which eventually led to assisting friends and teachers after-school, and then friends of friends. After months of working long hours helping friends and family for free, James decided to start charging small fees in hopes that this would deter people from wanting so many services and give him some free time to enjoy on the weekends. The opposite occurred, and all of the people he had helped told their friends and family about the great service they received.

The response was unbelievable! Word of mouth advertising was generating more service requests than James could handle, and so he decided to hire some help and launched Tek Perks. As we celebrate our 10th year of operation, we have focused our service area in Philadelphia, PA and we will continue to serve all of our pre-existing customers from Delaware County. Our remote services are offered nationwide in the continental United States, and our on-site service area is visible in green on the map below:

The business has continued to grow over the years thanks to our dedicated customers, and Tek Perks has continued to provide excellent services worthy of sharing.
